An integration describes how Vibework can work with an external application. A connection is your organization's authorized instance of that integration. Connections let approved users, agents, and workflows call allowed operations without exposing the underlying credential.
Before you connect
- You need organization administrator access or the specific permission to manage integrations.
- Use an account with the least access needed for the intended operations.
- Know whether the connection represents one person, a shared service account, or an organization-owned application.
- Confirm the external application's administrator and data-handling requirements.
Create the connection
- Open Admin and go to Integrations or Connections.
- Choose the external application and review the operations and authorization method it supports.
- Start the connection flow and sign in to the intended external account when prompted.
- Review the requested permissions before approving access. Stop if the account or scope is broader than expected.
- Give the connection a purpose-based name that helps users distinguish it from other accounts or environments.
- Save the connection and run a harmless read or validation operation before enabling it for real work.
Control who can use it
Share the connection only with the people, teams, agents, or workflows that need it. Connection access should be narrower for write, delete, financial, security, or customer-communication operations. Human approval may still be required for sensitive actions even when a connection is available.
If the connection stops working
Check whether authorization expired, the external password or policy changed, required scopes were removed, the connection was disabled, or the selected agent lacks the related tool. Reconnect only after confirming the correct external account and expected scopes.
